Flight Instruction

Operating out of Truckee-Tahoe airport (KTRK, elev. 5900')—minutes from Truckee town center and only 15 minutes from North Shore Lake Tahoe—I offer flight instruction from primary through initial CFI. I also offer instrument instruction and Cirrus standardised transition training.

Training in a mountain environment exposes students to challenges found in few other locations. With a field elevation of 5,900 feet and density altitudes sometimes exceeding 9,000 in the summer months, Truckee is the perfect place to learn how to confidently and safely fly in the mountains. All seasons offer unique training advantages, the colder winter months are an ideal time to learn due to the denser air and therefore increased aircraft performance....... Call for more details!
